Personal data processing
Personal data is captured by RAI in the course of providing its services. This occurs, for example, when you take part in an exhibition or conference, take out a subscription to one of our publications or newsletters, register an interest in one of our services or contact RAI for some other reason. The personal data we hold includes information such as contact details, transaction particulars, sociodemographic details, job details and specified interests.

RAI uses this information to fulfil and process agreements with you, provide other services, operate our internal business processes and inform customers of new and existing products and services provided by RAI. Your details may also be passed to carefully selected third parties to enable them to provide you with information about offers which may be of interest to you, but only if you have given permission for this in advance. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time.

Your e-mail address
If you have specified your e-mail address (e.g. to subscribe to a newsletter), this may be used to inform you as a customer of other relevant products and services provided by RAI that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time.

You may also have given your consent for relevant information about products, offers and campaigns of RAI or other companies to be sent to your e-mail address from time to time. These companies are carefully selected by RAI B.V.

Unsubscribing
If you no longer wish to receive information about new and existing products and services (by e-mail), you can unsubscribe by contacting the link specified in the e-mail. If this is not possible, you can do so in writing by notifying RAI, attn. E-mail Marketing Department, P.O. Box 77777, 1070 MS Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Viewing and correcting your personal data
RAI enables you to view and correct your personal data, for example through your personal profile page. If the information is incorrect, you may alter it.

Browsing history and IP address
General information on visits to RAI websites is captured and stored without visitors being identified. The purpose of this is to improve the quality of the website and users' browsing experience. This information can also be used to put targeted information on the site. This allows RAI to tailor its services to your wishes. RAI also uses your computer’s IP address for this purpose. The IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you browse the internet. This information can also be used to see how the website is being used and for analysis and reporting purposes.

Use of cookies by RAI
A cookie is a small amount of data (a tiny text file) left on your computer by a website. The website tells the web browser you are using (e.g. Internet Explorer) to store these cookies on your computer. RAI uses cookies to collect information about its customers for the purposes of targeted communication, including the provision of service information about our products and targeted marketing of products and services provided by RAI and, in some cases, third parties carefully selected by us. RAI websites that contain advertisements also use cookies. These keep track of what advertisements you have already seen. These cookies are placed by the company responsible for the advertisement, not by RAI.

Refusing cookies
You are always entitled to refuse cookies. To do so you can adjust your browser settings (e.g. Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) to disable all or certain cookies (consult your web browser manual). If you disable cookies, some services may not be available to you. Amsterdam 070312
